March 2011

  • 3rd — Awkward Encounters of the Shady Kind: A particularly edgy, nightly encounter between Norfred of Arathmor and the ruffian Scampre is intruded upon by Refson, Master of the Farmer's Guild. In short, threats are uttered and acquaintances made.
  • 5th — Robbery at the Market Square: At the dead of night, a trio of burglars attempt to make off with goods from the Armour Shoppe. However, they have not reckoned with the Watch's newest Constable, Korimeh, and any passing Girion noblemen.
  • 22nd — Search and Capture: The estimable Esgaroth Watch finally catch up with the fugitive Scampre.

May 2011

  • 25th — The Trial of Scampre: A notorious rogue is brought before the Steward for justice - what exactly was his crime, again?
  • 31st — The Army Moves Out: The muster of Laketown marches south, to deal with the threat revealed in Buhr Mahrling.

June 2011

  • 6th — Rudeness and Retorts: As Lady Isobel and Remo chat in the Market Square, they are in for an encounter with the less-than-agreeable House Arathmor.
  • 15th — Scheming Merchants: Within the Arathmor Suites, young Lady Ethelinda and Lord Roskar have a little chat, and perhaps it may be that lady has found a way to involve herself in the family business.
  • 16th — The Taking of the Gates: In which the valor of the Barding forces is sorely tested, at the gates of Easterling-held Buhr Mahrling. Will they win the day?
  • 17th — Sly Business in the Fishtale Inn: Two shady rogues scheme for the benefit of... what, exactly?

  • 24th --- An Abduction: The Ranger, Alagnen, is accosted by a gang of ruffians in the Underdecks. Malle sees it all.

  • 29th --- One Down, Nine To Go: Deep within Esgaroth's seedy belly, Remo's captors question their defiant prisoner, separating him from an extraneous extension of his body with much effort.

July 2011

  • 3rd --- Battle beneath weeping skies: After successfully holding the Market, the forces of the Dale-lands push forward to drive the Easterlings from Buhr Mahrling.
  • 6th --- Flight from the Dark: Finally granted an opportunity, the captive Remo and his Elven companion Khillaure make a bid for freedom, though all the brutes of the Thieves' Guild may stand in their way...
  • 6th --- Exposure: In the Elven Embassy, the information contained in those mysterious parchments is finally revealed. Treachery!
  • 6th --- A Grave Matter: Lord Barlin and his Karath kin discuss the delicate matter of Lord Irin's body, despite an indelicate interruption.
  • 7th --- Leaves That Are Green: Amidst the bustle at the intersection of Bowman Street and Merchant's Way, the paths of several notable denizens of Esgaroth converge.
  • 8th --- What'm I Gonner Do?: A desperate Louse seeks out Lady Isobel Taurdain in the Library.
  • 11th --- Old Concerns Reawakened: While returning from Buhr Marling, the victorious army pauses in Iach Celduin for rest and celebration. One man seems bent on dampening high spirits.
  • 17th --- Bridge Over Troubled Waters: Lady Arla Taurdain and that foreign fellow 'Brunni' share words on the Bridge.
  • 19th --- A Minstrel's Tale: Under pressure from two Arathmor nobles, Arla shares the tale of her conspicuous bruises.
  • 24th --- Barlin's Dilemma: There's water outside and water inside as Rowe redecorates his tunic, and the Flagon plays host to not one but two airings of private concerns, Elven and human.
  • 26th --- Drink, duty and drama: The town watch returns with renewed force, and Lorthrain is at the receiving end of unsolicited congratulations.

August 2011

  • 1st --- We've got a groovy thing goin' on: Three upright and noble ladies prove to be just a little silly when in private.
  • 2nd --- The Funeral of Lord Irin: As the body of the fallen hero Irin of Karath is laid to rest within the family barrow, words and remembrances are shared by his friends and kin.
  • 3rd --- Flying Fists in the Fishtale: A brawl breaks out in the Fishtale, sweeping both noble and ignoble into the melee!
  • 7th --- Heated Words: A nightly encounter betwixt human and Elven folk turns sour, for no apparent reason. [INCOMPLETE]
  • 10th --- Love Of The Lack Thereof: Two members of House Arathmor share pleasantries.
  • 14th --- Festival: Inpromptu bardic competition: The offer of free ale saw the best (and worst!) voices of Esgaroth jostling to earn their keep in song. [INCOMPLETE]
  • 15th --- Festival: Going a-dunkin': Brev has a mishap in the Market Square and two Taurdain ladies have the fortune of witnessing it.
  • 16th --- When Guildmasters Meet: Alaric and Refson, masters of respectively the Merchant's and Farmer's Guild, meet by chance amidst the bustle of the ongoing festival, and apparently share more than either would have imagined.
  • 16th --- Festival: Bardic competition: The exciting minstrel show-down took place in the Market Square, and the best tunesmiths of the realm faced off!
  • 17th --- Seeds of charity revisited: Once again, Lady Isobel seeks out Master Refson. To what purpose?
  • 17th --- Festival: Whack-a-kid!: (Incomplete) A children's melee brings out the worst in our young contestants
  • 18th --- Festival: Obstacle course: (Incomplete) There's cheating, unplanned baths and more in the Obstacle Race
  • 21st --- Festival: Masked Ball: Esgaroth's finest indulge in dancing, drinking, chatter and speculation. But is there a weasel in the hen-house?

  • 24th --- Dwarven Questions: A Watchman presses the Dwarves for details of the recent attack and theft. Unfortunately one small but vital piece of information is withheld

  • 5th --- Proof: Adom and Malle meet unexpectedly on a rainy midnight. The vintner's on a crusade. All he needs is proof.
  • 5th --- That which is lost: A long-absent Karath diplomat returns, and Lorthrain has some information about the nature of the Dwarven theft.
  • 7th --- The Man in the Mask: Masked vigilantes in Laketown? Not if Brev has anything to do with it.
  • 7th --- Just Words: The contents of a most ..interesting scroll are revealed.
  • 8th --- Dockside Ditties: The minstrel Delling tries out his wit at Ailith's prompting. Neither of the recipients seem overpleased.
  • 12th --- The First Lead: The Watch receives its first hints regarding the Dwarven theft - from a most unlikely source.
  • 13th --- A Stable Situation: The mystery of the strange parchment from the 'Masked Man' is cleared up - well, in part.
  • 14th --- Song and Dance: The Taurdain minstrel Arla performs in the Flagon.
  • 20th --- Watch Meeting: Members of the Esgaroth Watch and King's Men discuss the recent theft. (ICly secret)
  • 26th --- True Blue: A meeting of reprobates in the Underdecks is broken up by Sergeant Erdena of the Watch.
  • 27th --- No job too small: Brev tries to find a new form of gainful employment.
  • 28th --- Well met by moonlight: A trio that's been seen before meet up for another round.
  • 29th --- On the boardwalk: The early bird catches the worm! And sometimes it meets another early bird.
  • 30th --- Something wicked this way comes: Two ne'er-do-wells have a little talk in the gambling hall.

October 2011

  • 2nd --- Craft(iness) required: Lady Corawyn is working late, but there are other concerns on her mind than the ledgers.
  • 6th --- Window to the Soul: Alaric reveals his true self when the sore subject of the repair schedule comes up.
  • 6th --- Bleeding-edge Technology: Delling experiences 'barbarian' healing techniques first-hand .
  • 9th --- Building connections: Two citizens with little in comon find that each has something the other is after.
  • 11th --- In stitches: The unfortunate minstrel Delling must again seek out the healers.
  • 11th --- Let's see whose rooster is bigger, eh?: Lady Corawyn and Alaric of Arathmor clash. Most decidedly.
  • 12th --- All that glitters: The Master of the royal wardens is back in town!
  • 12th --- In vino veritas: A royal warden is brought up to date on the latest happenings by a carpenter and a scholar. Words are not minced.

  • 27th --- Smoking out rats: The Watch and their friends raid Slugger's hideout. Smoke, blood and shiny things - what more could one ask for?
  • 28th --- It was a ladder, honest: Brev asks Ailith to take a look at a supposed work injury - but why is he so shy of exposing himself?
  • 30th --- The art of seduction: Two lovebirds are reunited in the Fishtale and one of them has questions on her mind.

November 2011

  • 3rd --- In search of wisdom?: Blythe corners Louse in the Library.
  • 6th --- Bathing blues: Arla tries to recruit Louse to help during her next performance. Unfortunately there's a price.
  • 7th --- Slugging it out: The Royal Wardens and their Watch comrade run the injured Slugger to earth.
  • 8th --- Once bit, twice shy: Ailith's dedication to turning up for work results in an unplanned lesson about hurts and healing.
  • 8th --- Not just a pretty face: Blythe reveals to Delling what she's made of, and Brev does his best to worsen matters.
  • 8th --- Dawn visits: The Taurdain suites recieve an unusual visitor at an unusual time.
  • 10th --- Birds of a feather: One of the fair folk engages in some flights of fancy down by the docks, watched by carpenter-sawbones-former watchman and scholar.
  • 11th --- The right tool for the job?: Ceorn shows a pair of Esgaroth's more dubious residents what an axe is for.
  • 14th --- Afternoon delight: Isobel Taurdain takes a walk and shares some apple fritters and thoughts with the gracious Riordan of Karath.
  • 14th --- A much-needed bath: Louse arrives at the Taurdain Suites with a request for Arla.
  • 15th --- Buhr Marling: Landlubbers ahoy: A new-arrived barge-owner offers coin for advantage.
  • 17th --- Sneaking in the shadows: "If we shadows have offended, think but this, and all is mended: that you have but slumber'd here while these visions did appear."
  • 18th --- Fair trade?: Louse gets a few coppers out of Delling, and Delling makes a new friend.
  • 22nd --- A family affair: Ailith's family is shipping her off to Iach Celduin; Brev offers the irate lass a few diverting suggestions.
  • 22nd --- Mud-wrestling: Arla entertains the users of the Training Yard, though she forgets to pass the hat.
  • 23rd --- __Fishy tales__: Brev goes recruiting.
  • 24th --- Buhr Marling: The Hard Sell: Gilla and some local merchants have different ideas on what constitutes a good deal.

December 2011

  • Early --- A reading lesson: Louse makes progress of a sort under Isobel's tuition.
  • 14th --- Iach Celduin: Morning Melee: Bernar Karath and his followers surprise some careless goblins.
  • 18th --- Iach Celduin: Supply run: The merchantwoman Saereda delivers some much-needed supplies to Iach Celduin, to Lorthrain's consternation.
  • 21st --- Fisticuffs: Seamstress Morgaine has to intervene when Dinensell and Louse have a little spat.
  • 22nd --- Some friendly encouragement: Louse seems keen to make a friend out of Delling.
  • 26th --- Stubborn as a mule: Louse meets Motty.
  • 29th --- Recompense: Louse wangles some coin out of a remorseful Lovella, whilst Scampre dishes out the compliments to the ladies.
  • 29th --- Bloodying the Bank: The Barding forces finally catch up with the Isengard orcs, and attempt to reclaim the hillside the uruk-hai have turned into an outpost.
